About Central Texas Birth Fund
CTBF is dedicated to empowering pregnant individuals and families in marginalized communities ensuring access to safe, compassionate, and affirming birth care. We work to eliminate health disparities in Central Texas by supporting equitable prenatal, birthing, and postpartum services for all, regardless of financial means.
Our Purpose
Central Texas Birth Fund exists to close the gaps in maternal and infant health care access for low-income, uninsured, and underserved families of color. Through direct support of Black-owned birth centers, we provide resources for doula support, midwifery care, and reproductive education services.
Our purpose is to address the disparities faced by marginalized families in Central Texas by sustaining community-centered, quality care that respects each family's birth choices and fosters their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. By funding essential services and supplies, we aim to reduce out-of-pocket costs, improve health outcomes, and support community birth centers in creating a culture of dignity, respect, and inclusion in birth care.
